The Minister of Law and Human Rights Inaugurate New Director of Investigation and Dispute Settlement, DGIP


Jakarta-Minister of Law and Human Rights (MoLHR) inaugurated and took oath of new appointed Directors in the Ministry of Law and Human Rights on Thursday (11/06/2020) amidst the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar, PSBB) situation.

Two Directors being inaugurated are Brigjen Pol. Drs. Edison Sitorus, M.H. as the Director of Investigation and Dispute Settlement, Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP) and Dr. Ronald S. Lumbuun, S.H., M.H who was previously as the Head of Subdirectorate of Enforcement and Surveillance, Directorate of Investigation and Dispute Settlement, DGIP, is promoted as the Head Division of Legal and Human Rights Affairs on Regional Office of Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Sulawesi Utara Province.

In his speech, Yasonna (Minister of Law and Human Rights) said that 2020 was very different from previous years because of the pandemic of Covid-19 global outbreak including Indonesia. He said that only country that had the fighting spirit would win against this pandemic.

“As the leader of Civil Servant Apparatus (ASN) all of you have to own high fighting spirit, never give up, keep learning, and keep enhancing the knowledge”

Yasonna emphasized the importance to master information technology and communication for directorts because these two aspects were very important in this digital era.

“Technology eases our work and good communication allows us to make decisions quickly and accurately, "said Yasonna

For the officials who cannot joint the inauguration in Graha Pengayoman due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the inauguration was conducted virtually. (GA)
